Depends on the type of tights or stockings.
Red or brown tights will look good for a fenimine fall look, but stockings will add a girl next door feel to the outfit.
It's your decision.

  Knee highs are cuter, they give that girl next door/school girl feel, without looking trashy.
  
  But if you're looking for a warmth look, thick tights would look cute, you could even add leg warmers to it, or just wear leg warmers, with flat shoes.
