What to wear to a fancy dress party? Super hero themed?

I'm going to a fancy-dress birthday party in a few weeks. The theme is 'super-heros and villians'! I don't want to get anything too expensive but I'm willing to buy an outfit from a fancy-dress shop or something. Though, preferably something I could make/wear out of my normal clothes. I know someone who is going as the hulk (painting themselves green and wearing white top, torn jeans).

So, can you think of any FEMALE super-heros or villians (except for super-woman who everyone will go as - I want to be different!!)?

why dont you and a groups of friends go as the incredibles? my mates did that n looked great!
